I did not even stay up this late on New Year’s Eve.
Really!
I was in bed before 11 pm.
Oh….Happy New Year!
It is now 11:49 in the PM and I am still up. And not just a little bit up. Clothes and boots on, make-up still on….would say hair still fixed but it’s been in a pony tail all day.
Those Cowboys.
They done put me through the ringer! But hey, I will take it any day of the week and twice on Sunday. It is good to be an Oklahoma State fan. What a year they’ve had.
It wasn’t really necessary to give little ‘ol me a heart attack in the process.
The best part of the whole thing?? Well the best partS:
1) My BFF, who lives in Alaska, “watched” the game with me….via text message as both her military/night shift hubby and my kiddos were sleeping. No screaming allowed!
2) I could not stop laughing when the Stanford player pushed his own player back in to the end zone on a return. Like, what the heck are you thinkin’ man?!? I’m still laughing.
3) Seeing Coach Mike do The Gundy. It DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN THAT. Not sure what I’m talking about?? Go to You Tube and search “Teach Me How To Gundy.” You won’t be sorry.
4) Our team dedicated their first ever BCS Bowl win to the four victims of the tragic plane crash back in November. And then Coach Gundy handed the Fiesta Bowl trophy to the wife of our basketball coach that lost his life in that crash. Pure class.
Ahh but all of this joy comes with a price.
It is now 12:21 pm, I am still writing this blog, and my alarm will be sounding at 6:15 in the AM because guess what tomorrow is??
(Or technically TODAY.)
Yep. First day back to school for the princess.
All I can say is this: Dear Jesus, please let me put peanut butter on the bread and apples in the baggie. And not the other way around. Amen.

PS Thanks to that game, I am now tied for fourth in my bowl pics. Should I win, it’s Oklahoma State foam fingers for everyone!
PSS I have re-read this to check for errors, misspellings, complete nonsense, but the allergy medicine I’ve taken today might possibly be having adverse effects on my brain. Just go with it. I’ll do grammar next time.
